The Past is in the Past! So leave it there!

Tuesday May 29th marked a new chapter in my life. A chapter that has caused for this entire blog to even be created! I am officially on OCEAN CITY SUMMER PROJECT! Since walking into the 3 Jacks apartment, which will be my home for the next two and a half months, I could feel the amazing presence of God! He is so real, and so alive in every part of this city. Upon leaving my car I was immediately greeted by the amazing staff team, and was welcomed in with outstretched arms ready to embrace me. If there’s one thing I can say about the project thus far it would be that we really do have an amazing staff team. I one hundred percent believe that they really do care for us, and want to understand us, and love us. I am so excited to have this amazing opportunity, and to bring life into Ocean City, Maryland.

The living quarters here in Ocean City are crazy packed. In each of the girls houses there are 10 girls each with one bathroom per house. Along with the 15 guys upstairs. So far I can see that a great amount of us are really beginning to bond, and become extremely close. I can personally say that I’m beginning to really love my roommates! They are all awesome women of God who are truly after his heart. It’s so beautiful to see how they are all thriving after his heart, and really looking for the changes that they want to make in their lives. So far all of the guys are great as well. They are really respectful, and so willing to help out if anyone ever needs anything. It’s great to see how they’re already so close to one another, and forming their adorable bromances already. We are quickly becoming a family, and I can’t wait to see how God changes each of us!

On our first full day we had a devotional, and if that one is anything but a sneak peek into what we’ll be diving into this summer we are in for an incredible summer. We are learning to leave the past behind us, because this is a new beginning for all of us. I am so excited to truly live out this life of freedom that I so long for, and I know God is going to walk beside me every step of the way into eternal life. I’m so happy to finally recognize that I am not only his daughter, but his princess. I want to live that out everyday, and believe with all that’s in me that he knows my heart and my true desires, and also that he truly loves me, and wants me to understand truth. This truth is that I don’t need to “work off” my sin, because Christ paid for that sin the moment he died on the cross for me, and all of God’s children. If ever there was a moment in my life that I have strayed away God didn’t look down upon me in anger, but instead he looked out in love, and for that I am eternally grateful.

I can’t wait to see how all 33 of us grow closer to God, and in direct line with that we will grow closer with one another. His steadfast love is better than anything I’ve ever known and for that I will praise him for all of my days!
